MICR() light is a series of lamps made of petri dishes of various sizes. Different designs, based on micro-organisms that are related to our body, are moulded into the petri dishes.
The project illustrates the invisible world of micro-organisms. The microbiological world is fascinating and elusive. The field seems to be exclusive to science, while especially stories about microbiological threats make a way into the public opinion, for example resistant bacteria.
By transforming the petri dishes into lamps the theme is extracted from the scientific sphere and is brought close to the public.
